For those of you wanting to know how to use ARD through a firewall or NAT bridge:
If you wish to use the Remote Desktop application from behind a NAT router, you will need to set UDP port forwarding for port #3283 to your administration computer. If you wish to access a client computer that is behind a NAT router, you will need to set the router to forward UDP port #3283 to the client computer you wish to access. Note: You will be able to access only that client computer.
Doing my 40 mile bike ride today, I ran into the following drivers who may be elligible for the darwin awards real soon.
1) Driver with food in one hand and a cell phone in the other (25 mph). She didn’t see any of the cyclests around her and almost wipe out one of them.
2) Driver who thinks a Yield sign means I am bigger than you so I won’t stop. I pointed to the yeild sign and explained he needed to yeid. I got the double bird and an explitive. I hope he exits the gene pool real soon.
3) Group riders that think they can ride 5 abreast on a two way bike path. Where the F*CK do you think I am going to go you selfish idiot?
Ok, those that know me, know that I take forever to make technology purchasing decisions. In my job, I have no problem saying, “This is what we need to buy” and just do it. In my personal life I agonize over buying everything. I hate make decisions on technology because it changes so quickly and I feel like if I just wait I can get a better deal or better tech.
I have been waiting about two years to decide on getting an SLR digital camera. I have watched my friends buy and sell them over the last few years but still wanted to wait.
Last night I decided to finally jump into the pool and purchased the Canon Xsi
It should take about a week to arrive, which is good since I will be on business travel until next Saturday. I look forward to it arriving when I get back.
