Padres Win!
Today was opening day! Padres win 6-1 over the giants. But the best part was Barry Bonds goes 1-4. he got lucky and hit a ground rule double that bounced over the fence. He didn’t come anywhere close to the outfield wall.
Greylisting is da’bomb
Ok, I finally got around to installing Perl 5.8.8 with threading so I can install greylisting. Once I figured out the bug in the mysql.pm modules I was on my way. I knew it would be useful to install greylisting, but I didn’t realize HOW good it would be.
Before greylisting, I was getting about 1200 messages a day that were spam, about 900 of them filtered out by spamassassin. That would still lead to about 300 messages a day that would end up in my inbox.
After greylisting, I am now getting about 15 emails a day that are spam. about 99.99% of them are caught by spamassassin now. About one a week makes it through.
I don’t know what to do with all the free time I have now that I have no mail to read through 🙂
