It slices, it dices, it plays mp3’s

Now this is one of those things I might actually go out and buy. It beats the other one I bought with the pen light.

I don’t think the s.beat MP3 will replace my huntsman anytime soon, but it’s really cool looking.

Hopefully they will update their english version of the site, so I can actually read the site.

Will I own a classic?

Just read about this today:

15-inch G4 PowerBook vanishes from Apple Store

All roads lead to nethack!

So I learned about the new Sun T1000 systems today. This is a single socked 8 core system, each core has 4 threads. A lot of tech speak for a 32 processor system at the price if a dual.

So I asked… “How long will it take to compile Nethack on this system?”

The answer “34 seconds”! Now that’s fast.

Just because I can!

I got RHEL 4 installed on my dual opterons today.
I am also running VMware GSX. It’s now FREE!

So after spending time getting things configured, I can now run remote desktop from my mac, and connect to the Windows XP professional instsance running on top of Linux.

Now how cool is that? Why do you ask did I do this? I need to get rid of all my extra hardware. This will allow me to replace three machiens with one. Should cut down on power, space and headaches.

I only want apples with my pie.
