Wednesday, February 13th, 2008

My phone froze after trying to call someone. Very unhappy about that….

I found this article that shows how to really reset it if the normal reset doesn’t work:

I received this in my inbox today and I actually found it useful. I emailed them to find out if their product can run for a full day on battery and see if they are interested in providing us some sample units for the MS Bike Tour in october.

Check them out:

As some of you know I love to cook 😉

I purchased a Kitchen Aid Stand mixer a few years ago and absolutely love it. You have never had great italian food unless you have had pasta made from scratch.

A few months back I was using a brand new attachment and when I put the food in for the first time the unit stopped working. It made a horrible grinding and clicking sound. It appears to have stripped the horizontal gears. So, none of my attachments worked anymore. .

I contacted Kitchen Aid through their web site about getting it repaired, but they don’t have a service center close enough. I was told I could pay $32 for a shipping kit to return the unit back for repair. I put it off for a few months.

Well, today I decided to call them and get it repaired. I explained what happened to the woman on the phone. I was all ready with my credit card to have them ship me the kit and have it repaired. She put me on hold for a few minutes (which I thought was strange).

When she came back, she collected all of my information then told me that they would be replacing the unit (FOR FREE)!!!! She explained that they have a attachment guarantee and that since using the new attachment caused the damage they will replace the unit with a new one.

So they are shipping me a new unit! After all the bad experiences I have had with other companies, I am pleasantly surprised and pleased. I will definitely be looking at their appliances over other brands when shopping from now on.
