Pedaling For A Cure!

Sunday, August 20th, 2006

So I have been swamped ever since getting back from vacation. I have a big announcement, but have had to keep it under wraps for reasons.

This year I am proud and honored to accept the position as Team Captain and Nation Team Liaison for Team Qualcomm’s MS150 bike team.

This is going to keep me pretty busy from the month of May until November. As some of you may already know, Angie has been diagnosed with MS for the last nine years.

Last year, I happened to receive an email at work about the MS150 bike ride. I felt this was a really good way to show support and make a difference. Last year I set a goal to raise $500. I really like this event because there is almost no pressure to raise tons of money. The minimum is $350. Friends and Family helped me raise almost $2000 last year.

This year I have stepped it up and want to raise $2500.
You can support Angie and I by donating online at:
http://www.ms150baytobay.com/darkavich

Our team has their own web site: http://www.pedalingforthecure.org. We are training every weekend. Everyone is welcome to come join us on our ride.

I am looking forward to this great opportunity and hope everyone will support me in my ride.

wireless can suck…

Wednesday, May 10th, 2006

Sometimes it would be better to have no access than crappy access. I am getting about 2 second latency to my server, so I do not dare attempt to upload new photos. My next three days will be delayed until I have better internet access.

signs, signs, everywhere a sign

I saw this on a sign at a vets office, and thought of my friend Mario who is taking pictures of the Marquee Comic

“How can you be tense when you watch a cat sleep?”
