Padres win their 2nd in a row and Trevor gets his first save of the season!

Take me out to the ballgame…

Tuesday, April 1st, 2008

Well it’s that time of the year! The smell of cut grass can be smelled, hot dogs and peanuts are being cooked and roasted, and the smell of pine tar is in the air.

Yes folks! I am talking about Baseball Season! Last night was opening night for the Padres. It was a fantastic game. The Padres won 4-0 and Jake Peavy ha 2 RBI’s. Other than the fact it was freezing, it was a great evening.

We all have great hopes this year for the Padres. They have put a really good team on the field this year, and with the best pitching staff in the majors I can’t wait to see how they do.

Super Sunday

Monday, February 4th, 2008

I hope you had a chance to watch the entire Superbowl this past sunday. It was one of the best games I have seen in a long time.

BTW, I noticed that in the beginning of the broadcast they interviewed each team. Each team had a word that described them. The Patriots choose the word Teammates. I really found it ironic that right after their video was shown they then played Ozzy Ozborne’s song “Crazy Train” that start with the word “I”. 🙂

Pedaling For A Cure!

Sunday, August 20th, 2006

So I have been swamped ever since getting back from vacation. I have a big announcement, but have had to keep it under wraps for reasons.

This year I am proud and honored to accept the position as Team Captain and Nation Team Liaison for Team Qualcomm’s MS150 bike team.

This is going to keep me pretty busy from the month of May until November. As some of you may already know, Angie has been diagnosed with MS for the last nine years.

Last year, I happened to receive an email at work about the MS150 bike ride. I felt this was a really good way to show support and make a difference. Last year I set a goal to raise $500. I really like this event because there is almost no pressure to raise tons of money. The minimum is $350. Friends and Family helped me raise almost $2000 last year.

This year I have stepped it up and want to raise $2500.
You can support Angie and I by donating online at:

Our team has their own web site: http://www.pedalingforthecure.org. We are training every weekend. Everyone is welcome to come join us on our ride.

I am looking forward to this great opportunity and hope everyone will support me in my ride.

What’s going on with their fielding?

Sunday, April 23rd, 2006

So todays game was one of those that you are glad you had some good offense. On two separate plays Greene didn’t cover his position.

The first time lead to a run because there was nobody to throw the ball to to prevent the runner from coming in from third.

The second led to the runner getting a double instead of a single. If he would have been on the bag, they could have thrown him out going to second.

When all said and done they did win the game, and that is what matters. Hopefully they will get back to the basics and stop making rookie mistakes.
