Day Twenty-One: 5/13
Well this was our
final few hours in Europe. We finished
packing and headed downstairs to take our shuttle to the airport.
Arrived at the
airport 2 hours before our flight and all the computers were down. It took us almost 45 minutes to check
in. They had totally messed up our
reservations. I was trying to get them
to check us in all the way to San Diego.
They lost our records twice in the system and spent several minutes
trying to recover them.
Everyone was nice
and pleasant, but I could tell that they were ready to destroy their
computers. I am so glad I do not
support airline computer systems. Finally after checking in, we went hunting
for food. Nothing was open, and we
ended up buying some junk food at the gift shop.
We boarded our Boeing 777,
for our flight back to the States. We
did not have a direct flight to Los Angeles.
We had to stop in Dallas, and then fly to Los Angeles. From Los Angeles we then flew to San
Diego. We then took a shuttle home.
