Day 7 - Friday, May 7th, 1999

We got up and had a continental breakfast at the hotel. We drove down a block to the Vizcaya Villa. This was the winter retreat of industrialist James Deering. Here are some lines to their brochures.

After touring the Villa we went and grabbed some lunch. We ate lunch at TGI Friday's. They replaced my frequent diners card with a brand new one that makes my head hurt when I look at it. Oh well.

After luch we drove down to the Coral Castle, it is a national historical site, or so the brochure says. This castle is completely made of coral. It was made by just one man. It was a neat little visit. If you are looking to kill an hour, I would recommend going.

We both had to try out the throne. It was very comfortable and even rocked.
Here is a picture of the planets:

After the Coral Castle we drove up to Ft. Lauderdale. We decided to take a cruise. There was a pretty neat river cruise that we took. Here is the brochure that sold us on the cruise.

We drove back down to Miami for the night. We watched the Padres game and ordered some Chineese food to be delivered to our room.
