Ok, today was a messy day. I decided to go out and start cleaning out the pond. It started well, but then I realized how bad it is to plant egyptian papyrus in water unconfined! <\/p>\n
The roots grow into a mass of muck that were almost 5 inches thick. that’s about 1\/2 the depth of the stream and upper pond.<\/p>\n
I was able to clear out the connection stream, and cleaned out about two thirds of the top pond. The roots did me in. I will have to go back out tomorrow and finish up the job.<\/p>\n
